Oh, wonderful collage, Janet--the shapes and textures are fascinating. I'm just echoing everyone else, but seed heads really are more fun sometimes than flowers.
Oh now, that just makes my hands itch to collect seed... Sadly, my own garden is full of very wet seed pods, so I will just have to hope it all dries out before I lose the opportunity.
Who says there is nothing beautiful to see in an autumn garden?
ReplyDeleteI love these photos and your title...so appropriate. They do always offer promise. And even in their seed form, they offer beauty.
ReplyDeleteOften like the seed heads better than the flowers.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see seedpods rather than flowers, a lovely idea
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs showing us that there is beauty even when the plants are winding down.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful set of photos! I love seeing the seed pods more than the flowers. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLovely image Janet, I'm a fan of taking seed photos too. I recognise a few pods there :-)

ReplyDeleteThe structure of seed pods is fascinating anf they are all so different.
ReplyDeleteWE should do a seed swapping.I'm sure I saw something about that on someone else's blog. I just can't remember whose!
So beautiful and such variety. One of the upsides as the garden begins to shut down.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! It is the gardener who can really enjoy and appreciate nature in all its seasons.
ReplyDeleteFall is slowly arriving here at Gilmore Gardens too... the tall sedums are definitely pink today, though they were more white just yesterday.
Seeds, glorious seeds!
