My acceptance speech (with apologies to Gwyneth Paltrow, Sally Field and Hallie Berry)
This is so unexpected, I don't know what to say....
I'd like to thank Elaine at "Woman of the Soil" and Lorna at "The Green Lady" Two great blogs and previous worthy recipients of Liebster Awards.
I'd like to thank all my fellow bloggers who have taken the time to read my blog and left comments. And all the people that have contributed to the blog knowingly or otherwise.
I'd like to thank my school teachers for taking the time to teach me to read and write.
I'd like to thank Apple Mac for making a great computer for me to work on.
I'd like to thank Canon and Nikon for providing the camera equipment if not the expertise to use it.
I'd like to thank my mother for passing on her gardening genes even if I wasn't that keen when young. Reasons are contained in a previous post called "Blunt spades and Pink Phlox".
Thank you again for this award. It means so much to me!
My five recipients of this prestigious award are as follows:
Stacy at Microcosm
Denise at denisnoniwa
Bertie at What Ho Hidcote
Laura at PatioPatch
If you haven't visited any of of these blogs now's a good thyme....
There is no pressure to accept this award. It's been an incredibly busy time of year and you may just want to lounge about and recover ... but if you do this is how to go about it...

Janet, congratulations on receiving this blog award. Your blog is beautiful and very well written and I am sure it must feel good when it is recognized by others. I like your acceptance speech, much better than Gwyneth Paltrow's ;-)!

ReplyDeleteI so much enjoy reading your blog, Janet, for the descriptions of your garden and the beautiful countryside you show us on your walks. And for the fungus. No one does fungus with as much panache as you and P. Thanks, as PatioPatch said, for Liebstering my blog.
Blogging has certainly become a big part of my life... to big some folk would say. Thank you for the lovely positive comments - I shall walk around in a warm glow all day!
ReplyDeleteSo well deserved Janet - your blog is inspirational on so many levels (garden, walks, nature...to name but a few). Thank you too for the Liebster award for my blog - it means a lot. ReplyDeleteCongratulations Janet! What a wonderful speech. Thank you for awarding me. I visited the other recipients and it is an honour to be amongst them. I am afraid that I cannot pass the award on because I could never write such an entertaining post about it as this one. Maybe one day…
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments. I've made a note to get a new (bigger) hat as the old one won't fit anymore...
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet! Your blog is glorious, and I'm grateful you consider mine a good read. I'm looking forward to reading your posts this year and beyond!
