It's still raining...
It's been raining off and on for nearly three days and everything is looking much fresher and greener as well as having put on a spurt. If plants could have sighed with relief at the rain fall they would have done. In spite of brief glimpses of sunshine the soil is too wet to work, so I went out with my camera in between showers..... The following photographs are a white peony, hosta sioboldiana, epimedium, mecanopsis sheldonii, clematis armandii and box.

Why is it that raindrops are always so lovely? If you went out and spritzed everything with a mister it wouldn't have nearly the same effect. Congratulations on your rain--enjoy the freshness and all the new greenery!
ReplyDeleteIt feels a bit odd to be congratulated on having a bit of rain. We usually get a lot of it. Strange times, Stacy. Thaank you for your comment.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos - very atmospheric!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Boddin, it's amazing how a few raindrops adds to a photo.
ReplyDeleteRaindrops always add a magical touch. Your photos are enchanting.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carolyn. I must admit having a good digital camera (and learning how to use it) makes a difference.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of the raindrops - and wasn't lovely to see the rain, we so needed it.
ReplyDeleteAnd we still need more. There was a piece on BBC yesterday about the effect the lack of rain is having on the asparagus and potato crops.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your macro images, so much feeling and depth. I came to your post from Blotanical and yes it is a good way to communicate with bloggers from all over. It takes time, but it seems like time well spent for the most part.
ReplyDeleteIt's where most of the garden bloggers congregate (metaphorically speaking).
