This was the logo for our garden design company that we operated in Orkney for a few years.
We designed and made several gardens in mainland Orkney. It is an expensive business and difficult to make money in an island community. In the end we wound up the company when we left Orkney as there were a lot of other thing that took up our time.

Television Work.
We worked with Tern TV 's Beechgrove Garden on gardens in Orkney and Shetland. They also did a "Through the Garden Gate" feature at our gardens in Orkney and Montrose.
The Chaplaincy Garden at Balfour Hospital, Kirkwall, Orkney
The garden at the Balfour was about 7m square. It was important that it was accessible for staff and patients alike.

The work was partially completed when the TV crew arrived. The prefer if a lot is left until the last minute. In fact if there is a crisis that makes for great TV.

Weisdale Church Garden, Shetland
As well as designing several gardens in Orkney, Sandesquoy Garden Design was involved in the desgning and filming of this Chrurch garden in mainland Shetland.
On this occasion the planting was designed and supervised by Rosa Stephanova who lives in Shetland.
It was filmed by Tern Television for the Beechgrove Community Garden feature.
It was a difficult site with enormous changes in level. The stream at the bottom flooded regularly and the whole garden was very exposed.
Drystane dykes offered some shelter for the planting.
The plants that were chosen for the site were all proven to grow well in Shetland.
